Travelling to Abuja

You can travel to Abuja via the following routes:

  • direct to Abuja via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport

  • direct to Lagos via the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, then a connecting flight to Abuja via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport

  • any bus shuttle direct to Abuja Bus Park in the city (this route is only advisable to students resident in Nigeria who are quite familiar with the road routes)

For all foreign students, we can arrange to collect you and escort you to the University if you meet the following criteria:

  • for foreign students arriving by road through any of the Motor Parks in the city, you arrive on the official “Arrival Day” which is 'October 3, 2023'

  • for foreign students arriving by air via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, you arrive between 'October 3, 2023'

  • you have submitted an airport pick-up request via the Student Affairs Offices (studentaffairs@aust.edu.ng

If you have booked an airport pick-up request, there will be a member of staff (or a bus driver) waiting to meet you on your arrival outside the Arrivals point at the airport. There may be a delay before the bus leaves while we wait for other incoming flights.

Destinations are only to the University Campus. If you need to get to another area you can stay on the bus until it reaches the campus where you can order a taxi (the tariff to most areas is approximately One Thousand Naira).
