Living in student accommodation at AUST is a fantastic way for you to become part of the University community. You will be expected to take responsibility for your academic engagement and appropriate behaviour during your time in Residence Halls and, in return, you will be offered support and guidance. All students residing in Residence Halls are meant to abide by the AUST Facilities Code policies.
For all admitted students wishing to stay in Residence Halls:
'If you have been given a full-time scholarship or are a fee-paying student to study towards an Undergraduate or a Masters degree at AUST, you will be expected to share a room with another student. If you prefer to have a room to yourself, you will have to pay the requisite additional fee from your own resources. Details can be obtained from the Operations Office
If you have been given a full-time scholarship to study at the Doctoral level, you will usually be allocated a single room on campus.
If you are a day student and wish to reside in any of the Residence Halls at any point in time, please apply using the Accommodation Registration Form. Note that this would be subject to the availability of rooms and your being able to pay the required rental amount
To apply for accommodation on campus, please complete the Accommodation Registration Form (all students intending to reside in any of the Residence Halls, including those on any type of full-time tuition/accommodation scholarship package should apply using that form), and send it as a mail to operations@aust.edu.ng with a subject heading of 'Application for accommodation in Halls of Residence for the '2023/2024 Academic Session'. Please note that your accommodation will only be processed upon the provision of evidence of payment of the Caution Fee.
Please note that overnight guests are not allowed to stay with you in your room in any of the Residence Halls. Guest rooms are available at a discounted cost, therefore, if you invite your relatives or friends to stay please check the availability of the guest rooms (operations@aust.edu.ng) and book well in advance of your visitor's arrival. A breach of this rule will result in disciplinary action, including loss of the privilege of having a room on campus.
