Recent AUST M.Sc. Graduate Scoops Eni Award For Excellence “the Nobel Prize For Energy”
Miss Blessing Onyeche Ugwoke, who recently completed her M.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering was selected for the “Debut in Research: Young Talents from Africa Prize” and received the Eni Award for Excellence. The Eni Award has sometimes been dubbed “the Nobel Prize for Energy”.

Cyphercrescent Donates USD 1.5m Sepal Software To AUST
On Friday, 18th August, 2017 CypherCrescent Limited, an oil services company based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State donated fifteen (15) licences of SEPAL software, worth over US$1.5 million to the African University of Science and Technology (AUST).

AUST, Others Celebrate DTCA’s NTCF @ 10

AUST Extols Prof. Adewoye At Inaugural Memorial Lecture
For the last two years and until his death last year, Professor Adewoye was a visiting member of Faculty in AUST’s Materials Science & Engineering program. Delivering the inaugural Adewoye memorial lecture, Professor Oye Ibidapo Obe, former Vice Chancellor, University of Lagos and member of the AUST Board of Trustees, described the late Professor Adewoye as an astute scholar, researcher and innovator whose contributions to science and technology development in Nigeria were unparalleled.

AUST Graduate to Play in the Big League of Science
Mr. Markjoe Olunna Uba, a recent AUST M.Sc. graduate has scored big by winning a very prestigious international award. Uba, whose M.Sc. Thesis, supervised by Prof. Chidume, was on “A Strong Convergence Theorem for Zeros of Bounded Maximal Monotone Mappings in Banach Spaces with Applications” is one of 3 African scientists recently awarded the European Union’s highly competitive and very prestigious Horizon 2020 Science and Research Program’s Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship.
