The procurement unit is tasked with the responsibility of coordinating and ensuring due process in the procurement of goods, works and services. The functions include: Prescribing an appropriate method for effecting procurement and securing the necessary approvals for implementation. Registration of contractors. Keeping records of contractors. Carrying out appropriate market surveys. Sourcing, complying with policies, negotiation, contracting and monitoring suppliers’ performance.
