The procurement unit is tasked with the responsibility of coordinating and ensuring due process in the procurement of goods, works and services. 

The functions include:

• Prescribe an appropriate method for effecting procurement and secure the necessary approvals for implementation. 

• Registration of contractors. 

• Keeping records of contractors. 

• Carrying out appropriate market surveys.

• Sourcing, complying with policies, negotiation, contracting and monitoring supplier’s performance.
