AUST Achieves New Milestones With 110 Innovative Science & Engineering Graduates
The graduands came from 7 African countries, namely, Benin Republic, Cameroon, Chad, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone. 101 received Master of Science degrees and 8 Doctor of Philosophy across five major disciplines, namely, Computer Science, Materials Science & Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Pure & Applied Mathematics and Theoretical and Applied Physics. One was the recipient of a post-graduate diploma in Petroleum Engineering. This was the largest single cohort of M.Sc. graduates in the university’s short 10-year history. In that same history-making vein, the university also graduated its first-ever Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics and the first Ph.D. in Computer Science, in fact, this first crop comprises 3 Ph.Ds in Computer Science.
