Professor Peter Onwualu's Achievements
He is a Fellow of major relevant professional and academic bodies including Nigeria Academy of Science, Nigerian Academy of Engineering, Nigerian Society of Engineers, Nigerian Institute of Management and Materials Science and Technology Society of Nigeria.
As Director General, Raw Materials Research and Development Council, Abuja (2005-2013), he supervised a national research grant scheme that funded over 100 research projects in raw materials development and supported a number of universities in Nigeria to commercialize technologies from Research for processing industrial raw materials. He supported a number of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in establishing small scale industries for processing industrial raw materials. He is the initiator of Raw Materials Processing Cluster Programme in Nigeria. These works attracted awards from over 50 organisations.
